He or she receives requests for information on ethical issues and provides expertise on the application of ethical obligations and principles in the day-to-day performance of staff members&#8217; duties, and on the legal risks incurred in the event of non-compliance. It also collects and investigates allegations relating to breaches of ethics, in particular situations likely to be qualified as conflicts of interest.[\/vc_toggle][\/vc_column_inner][\/vc_row_inner][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css=&#8221;&#8221;]<\/p>\n<h2>The scientific integrity referent<\/h2>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=&#8221;1\/4&#8243;][vc_single_image image=&#8221;59034&#8243; alignment=&#8221;center&#8221; style=&#8221;vc_box_circle_2&#8243;][\/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=&#8221;3\/4&#8243;][vc_column_text]<strong>C\u00e9line Laronde-Clerac<\/strong>, lecturer and researcher in Private Law and Criminal Sciences, co-director of the Master&#8217;s degree in Justice, Trials and Procedures.[\/vc_column_text][vc_toggle title=&#8221;Role and missions&#8221;]La Rochelle Universit\u00e9 is committed to <strong>implementing an institutional policy on scientific integrity<\/strong>. The main tasks of the scientific integrity officer are as follows :<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>to participate in the definition of policies for compliance with the requirements of scientific integrity<\/li>\n<li>in conjunction with the deontologist advisor, coordinate awareness-raising and training activities and organise measures to prevent and detect breaches of scientific integrity requirements<\/li>\n<li>investigate questions and admissible reports relating to such breaches that are referred to him or her<\/li>\n<li>guarantee the confidentiality of the procedure for handling reports<\/li>\n<li>transmit as soon as possible to the competent body of the institution a report designed to enable it to decide on the action to be taken in respect of each report investigated<\/li>\n<li>ensure that the data and publications affected by the breach of scientific integrity requirements are reported to the parties concerned<\/li>\n<li>inform the President of the University of internal systems or practices that do not offer sufficient guarantees in terms of scientific integrity<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The scientific integrity referent is <strong>the first point of contact for all actors in the University&#8217;s research sector who have a question about scientific integrity<\/strong> and for all those who believe they have observed a breach.[\/vc_toggle][\/vc_column_inner][\/vc_row_inner][vc_column_text css=&#8221;&#8221;]<\/p>\n<h2>The Coordinator for Secularism, Racism, and Anti-Semitism<\/h2>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=&#8221;1\/4&#8243;][vc_single_image image=&#8221;79757&#8243; alignment=&#8221;center&#8221; style=&#8221;vc_box_circle_2&#8243; css=&#8221;&#8221;][\/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=&#8221;3\/4&#8243;][vc_column_text css=&#8221;&#8221;]Thierry Poulain-Rehm, University Professor[\/vc_column_text][vc_toggle title=&#8221;Role and missions&#8221; css=&#8221;&#8221;]The Secularism, Racism, and Antisemitism Coordinator:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>helps shape the institution\u2019s policy on combating racism and antisemitism (by participating in the drafting of internal regulations, organizing initiatives aimed at preventing racist, antisemitic, or discriminatory acts, etc.);<\/li>\n<li>promotes a culture of respect for the law and a better understanding of the fight against racism and antisemitism among the groups within their scope of activity;<\/li>\n<li>provides, at the request of the disciplinary committee, an analysis to assist it in investigating incidents of a racist, antisemitic, or discriminatory nature;<\/li>\n<li>identifies racist, anti-Semitic, or discriminatory acts occurring within its jurisdiction;<\/li>\n<li>participates, as appropriate, in responding to surveys conducted by the Ministry or the National Observatory on Discrimination and Equality in Higher Education (Ondes);<\/li>\n<li>participates in the national network of \u201cracism and anti-Semitism\u201d liaisons coordinated by the Ministry.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>[\/vc_toggle][\/vc_column_inner][\/vc_row_inner][\/vc_column][\/vc_row]<\/p>\n<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>[vc_row][vc_column][vc_btn title=&#8221;Consult the general organisation chart of the University&#8221;
