This unique system allows them to personalise their training and adapt it to both their profile and their career plans. HOW IS A BACHELOR’S DEGREE ORGANISED AT LA ROCHELLE UNIVERSITÉ? Whatever the course, bachelor’s degrees are divided into six semesters, each of which is made up of a number of teaching units (UE). Three degree courses are offered to students at La Rochelle Université. Depending on the course chosen, a cross-disciplinary UE may be included in the curriculum. It includes courses in IT (in L1), languages and ARP (“Accompagnement à la Réussite de mon Projet”). This course helps students to create their project and acquire skills that will be useful for their future professional integration. Classic bachelor’s degree: The classic bachelor’s degree concentrates on the courses in the major, i.e. the subject in which the student is enrolled. Each semester comprises 4 major courses and 1 cross-disciplinary course. There are 13 subject areas offered at La Rochelle Université, divided into 4 fields of study. Enhanced bachelor’s degree The enhanced bachelor’s degree programme includes the classic bachelor’s degree courses (4 major courses and 1 cross-disciplinary course), to which can be added a personalised course of your choice: A specialist, thematic or European minor: taught over 3 semesters (from 4 to 6 ECTS per semester) to open up and complete the study pathway. Eleven minors are offered to La Rochelle Université students to enhance their training. The Master Course of Engineering (CMI): an additional 5-year course from L1 to M2 (6 ECTS per semester), at the end of which students receive their bachelor’s and master’s degrees in their subject area, as well as a university diploma recognised by the Figure network, based on the international Masters of Engineering model. Dual degree The dual degree includes courses in two different disciplines. This course enables students to develop in-depth skills in two disciplines and obtain two bachelor’s degrees.
