MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowships

MSCA PFs (Marie Skłodowska-Curie Action Posdoctoral Fellowships) are open to early career researchers (under 8 years of experience after being awarded your PhD) and aim at fostering research careers and excellence by encouraging mobility.

MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowships

European fellowships (EF) finance mobility within or to Europe (1-2 years), Global Fellowships (GF) finance mobility outside Europe (1-2 years) followed by a compulsory return phase in Europe (1 year).

MSCA PFs are open calls, meaning it is up to you to identify the subject you would like to work on. The second step is to identify a supervisor. You can also identify a supervisor who has expressed his/her interest to work with a post-doc on a particular subject that is relevant for you and for which you may have complementary expertise.

You will only be able to apply for a Host Institution, provided you have spent less than a year in the country of the host over the last three years.

The University can help you identify a supervisor

La Rochelle Université is more than open to MSCA postdocs and has experience with PFs. We have been lucky to welcome 4 PFs over the last 5 years and will have the pleasure of welcoming a new one in 2024.

La Rochelle Université has 11 research units working in social sciences, life sciences, engineering, and IT. If you identify a supervisor working in your particular area, we will be happy to facilitate contact, please address your interest to europe@univ-lr.fr.

We can also facilitate matchmaking at a European level, with the 8 other universities of EU-CONEXUS. Our European Alliance has a specific focus on the challenges related to Smart Urban Coastal Sustainability, addressing all research topics contributing to unlocking issues from coastal governance to engineering, ecosystems, and communities. It offers many opportunities to develop your career and research at a European level, including mobilities, seed funding and training programmes for post-docs.

Do you need help with your proposal?

Our team in charge of European funding can help you identify essential resources for your proposal and offer proof-reading at any stage. Please write to europe@univ-lr.fr.
