Customise your journey

La Rochelle Université offers its students the possibility of personalising their course according to their needs and desires: this allows for a chosen orientation and a successful university career.

BUILDING YOUR CAREER PLAN

To help you personalise your career path and build your career plan, the guidance and integration officers of the Guidance and Integration Department offer you individual interviews and thematic workshops.

MAJOR/MINOR SCHEM

When you choose a degree, this is your “major”. La Rochelle Université offers you the possibility of adding a “minor” to your degree of choice:

  • to specialise strongly in a discipline (disciplinary minor)
  • to broaden your learning in another field (opening minor)
  • for a more practical education (trade minor)

TO BECOME PROFESSIONAL

La Rochelle University creates links between you and the professional world: throughout your course, you will be able to become progressively more professional through internships, civic services, student jobs, meetings and visits to companies, workshops or conferences organised to promote your future integration.

You can find all these events on the Career Center.

NON-COMPULSORY INTERNSHIPS

The EC Professional Experience offers students in L1 and L2 the opportunity to immerse themselves in a professional environment, to become more professional, to get closer to the professional world, to validate a career plan and to facilitate their future integration.

THE STUDENT COMMITMENT BONUS (OR B2E)

La Rochelle University values the commitment of its students! Thus, getting involved in society or in the life of the University can also earn points! With the Student Commitment Bonus, you can benefit from a bonus of points added to your annual average while acquiring pre-professional skills that will enrich your CV.

GAP YEAR

The gap year allows you to choose your own timetable and plan your studies as you wish: you can go abroad to enhance your CV and improve your language skills, do civic service, or have a variety of experiences before returning to your studies.

CERTIFICATIONS

The PIX certification, recognised by the State and the professional world and allowing you to officially value your digital skills, is integrated into the Bachelor’s programme. You can choose to obtain additional certifications such as the Voltaire certification or the TOEIC or TOEFL in order to enhance your CV, extend your range of skills or your personal culture.
