La Rochelle Université offers an enhanced degree with access to minors. These allow students to adapt their study path by moving into an area that complements their major. This scheme is supported by the OpenCV project, which aims to support student success and develop personalised study paths. How does the minors fit in with the bachelor’s degree? A minor may be chosen as part of the enhanced bachelor’s degree in addition to the major. This programme comprises 4 major UEs, 1 cross-disciplinary UE and 1 minor UE. The minors are taught in semesters 3, 4 and 5, during the second and third years of the bachelor’s degree. The minor is validated for a maximum of 6 ECTS credits per semester, for a total of up to 18 additional credits. Enrolment in a minor gives students a bonus on their final L2 average (with validation of semesters 3 and 4 of the minor) and on their final L3 average (with validation of semester 5 of the minor). It is awarded when the overall average for the major is above 10. During the second semester, L1 students take part in a forum during which they can talk to all the people in charge of the minors. The minors are presented during an ARP (“Accompagnement à la Réussite de mon Projet”) course in the first semester.
