Halls of residence

The Halls of Residence are managed by the CROUS. To be eligible, you must fill in a student social form (DSE) between January 15 and May 31, 2018 by logging on to messervices.etudiant.gouv.fr via the CROUS website.

Note : students who are not eligible for an allowance may also apply for accommodation!

Halls of Residence in La Rochelle

The ARHPEJ (L’Association Rochelaise Pour l’Hébergement pour les Étudiants et les Jeunes) manages more than 600 flats located at the heart of the university campus, near the city center and the Old Port of La Rochelle(attribution of accommodation is means tested)

Housing assistance

APL (Aide Personnalisée au Logement)

Whatever your age or your professional situation you can obtain housingassistance to pay your rent.

The Personalized Housing Assistance (APL) is calculated solely based the financial resources of the student or co-tenant and depends on the type of accommodation, which must be the object of an official contract (it can be furnished or unfurnished). LocaPass

Action Logement has set up Loca-Pass. This is intended for young people under 30 to help pay the rental deposit through a cost-free extended payment scheme; this guide has all the information you will need concerning eligibility requirements. In addition, Action Logement has set up Mobili-Jeune assistance, which is intended for young people under 30 who are apprentices or on asandwich course in the privatesector ( except in agriculture)

Please note :
The form must be submitted no later than 2 months after the date of entry into the accommodation (form to be completed with the owner). It is also possible to apply online on the official Action Logement website. Don’t forget to check your eligibility for the extended payment of the rental deposit (Caution Action Logement).
