Specialised Social Allowance

The attribution of this allowance is decided by the social service. Students can obtain two types of allowance:

  • “Aide Spécifique Annuelle” (ASAA : annual specific allowance): paid over 10 months, it gives scholarship status to students in special situations.
  • “Aide Spécifique (ASPE) : Allocated to any student enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree experiencing unforeseen financial difficulties.

This commission can intervene in case of financial difficulties. For more information, you should make an appointment with one of the University’s social workers.

Alternative ways to finance your studies

Means-tested Allowance

For students taking a Bachelor’s degree, these allowances are paid over 10 months; their amount varies depending on your family income, number of siblings, and the distance between your home and place of study.
An application must be made by Internet between January 15th and April 30th for the following academic year beginning in September, without waiting for the results of your exams. It is also possible at the same time using the same form (called Student Social Form: DSE) to apply for university accommodation.
